Welcome to our school
It is with the greatest of pleasure that we extend to you and your children a warm welcome to Scaddan Primary School. We hope that you, through your interest, personal involvement and cooperation, will come to feel very much part of our school community. We look forward to working with you during the course of your association with our school and encourage you to become actively involved in your child’s education.
The Scaddan Primary School staff are professionally devoted to providing a rigorous learning environment where the enrichment of pride, excellence, respect and nurturing, are extremely important.
Each student is treated as an individual and all are encouraged to reach their potential in a caring and supportive environment. The staff are committed and strive to achieve success for Every student, every classroom, every day.
Scaddan Primary School has a focus on quality teaching and high expectations with each classroom well-presented and equipped to support student learning. Technology forms part of the learning process with students learning the skills necessary for the 21st Century. Classrooms are equipped with laptops, iPads and interactive technology including robotics and coding to support the learning program with significant focus on English and Mathematics.
We have 30 students currently enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 6. The students are provided with specialist Science, Physical Education, Stephanie Alexander Garden Kitchen, French and Visual Arts classes.
A Whole School Planning process is embedded as part of the school culture to strategically plan and implement targeted actions that result in whole school improvements. The school is due for a Public School Review in Term 3 2022. The School Council, staff and students will participate in this process. The current Strategic Plan is focused on four core areas including students, staff, learning environment and community with a strong focus on student achievement across all learning areas, an emphasis on reaching aspirational literacy and numeracy targets and supporting the development of staff.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you through browsing our website to view a general overview of the nature and operation on Scaddan Primary School.
Further information is distributed through the School Newsletter, Seesaw and at our regular Parents and Citizens meetings.
